An Update on the Countering CCP Drones Act and a Reminder to Make Your Voice Heard to Prevent a DJI Ban

Last week, a U.S. Senator issued a statement introducing the Countering CCP Drones and Supporting Drones for Law Enforcement Act. To be clear, this is the same version of the Countering CCP Drone Act that was proposed last month by two other U.S. Senators, as an amendment to the Senate’s FY25 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). 

This version of the bill has not yet been reviewed, as Congress is currently adjourned for the August recess. This makes it an ideal time for the drone community to arrange face-to-face meetings with U.S. Senators and House Representatives. It’s crucial to ensure your voices are heard and your perspectives considered before they return to session on September 9.
